This weekend we had a gluttonous and glorious time in Sonoma doing our wedding wine and cupcake tastings. Unfortunately our cow friends had no such luck. Half the herd came up to greet us, but then it felt like they tried to moo us away when they realized we weren’t going to feed them.

Closet conundrum — I’m doing a little spring cleaning and I’m having a hard time deciding what jackets to give away. I have to say, I wear the ugliest coat I own pretty frequently.  It’s my go-to when I head out to bar on the weekend because I could care less if people spill on it or steal it. People have certainly spilled on it, but unfortunately I doubt it would ever get stolen – unless the thief didn’t have very good taste.

Thought I’d share a few of the many, many wedding mood boards I’ve created using images on Pinterest. These colors, the hair, that typeface. Yes, yes, yes.

I love the simplicity of this place setting. Maybe a little branch or flower instead of the radish? Great use of milk glass bowls too — doesn’t look overly vintage-y here.

It’s probably apparent by now, but the whole fruit centerpiece thing — I’m liking it.

I love the water. Not swimming in it – I suck at that – but just overlooking it or splashing around in it or drinking it. That sort of thing.

No matter though. When it comes to being by the bay, I can totally wear stripes with the best of ‘em.  It’s my favorite spring print.

I don’t need one for the office, but really, who doesn’t love a good pencil skirt? Sure, they wrinkle easily and restrict my stride a bit, but they’re classic in just the right way.

I really, really enjoy haircuts. Spa treatments are something I rarely splurge on, but with salon visits, you come out well-coiffed and and get a l’il scalp massage to boot.

This time around, my stylist was inspired by my peplum top and gave me a Mad Men-esque ‘do to match. It probably rivals my heels in the number of inches it adds.

I can’t deny my affinity for white walls and medium wood. Just when you think you’re all midcentury-modern-ed out…
